All our eBooks are supplied in the widely used ePub format. Once you have downloaded your book, you can read it on most eReaders, smartphones, tablets and computers.

Amazon Kindle

You can send your eBook directly to your Kindle using Amazon's Send to Kindle service.

Download the ePub file you purchased from The Fiction Bookstore to your computer, phone or tablet.

Go to Amazon's Send to Kindle page.

Sign in using the Amazon account connected to your Kindle.

Select or drag your downloaded ePub file onto the Send to Kindle page.

Choose Send.

Connect your Kindle to Wi-Fi and allow a few moments for it to synchronise.

Your new eBook should then appear in your Kindle library.

You can also use Send to Kindle from compatible phones, tablets and other devices.

Tip: Make sure you use the same Amazon account that is registered to your Kindle.

Apple Books on iPhone or iPad

Apple Books can open ePub files directly.

Download your eBook to your iPhone or iPad.

Open the downloaded ePub file.

Tap the Share button if necessary.

Choose Books or Open in Books.

Apple Books will add the eBook to your library.

You can then open the Books app whenever you want to continue reading.

If you use iCloud for Apple Books, your books can also be available on your other compatible Apple devices.

Apple Books on a Mac

You can import your downloaded eBook directly into Apple Books.

Download the ePub file to your Mac.

Open Apple Books.

Select File, then Import.

Find the ePub file you downloaded.

Select the file and import it.

The book will now appear in your Apple Books library.

Kobo eReaders

You can add your eBook to a Kobo eReader using a computer and USB cable.

Download your ePub from The Fiction Bookstore to your computer.

Connect your Kobo eReader to your computer using its USB cable.

When prompted on your Kobo, select Connect.

Open the Kobo drive or device on your computer.

Copy or drag the downloaded ePub file onto your Kobo.

Safely eject your Kobo from the computer.

Disconnect the USB cable.

Your Kobo will process the new file and the book should then appear in your library.

Some newer Kobo models also support transferring compatible files using services such as Dropbox or Google Drive.

Please note: Books manually added to a Kobo may remain on that particular device rather than automatically synchronising with other Kobo devices or apps.

NOOK eReaders

Many NOOK devices allow you to add your own ePub files using a computer.

Download your eBook to your computer.

Connect your NOOK to your computer using its USB cable.

Open the NOOK device on your computer.

Copy or drag the downloaded ePub file onto the device.

Safely eject the NOOK.

Disconnect the USB cable.

Your eBook should then become available on the NOOK.

The exact procedure can vary between NOOK models, particularly older devices.

Android Phones and Tablets

Android phones and tablets can read ePub books using a compatible eBook-reading app.

Download your ePub from The Fiction Bookstore.

Open the downloaded file.

If your device already has an app capable of reading ePub files, select that app when prompted.

The book should then be imported into the app and available for reading.

If your phone or tablet does not already have an ePub reader, you can install one from the Google Play Store.

Once installed, open your downloaded ePub using your chosen reading app.

Windows Computers

You can also read your eBook directly on a Windows computer.

Windows may require an ePub-compatible reading application. Once you have installed your preferred eBook reader:

Download your ePub from The Fiction Bookstore.

Locate the downloaded file.

Open or import the file using your eBook-reading application.

The book can then be read directly on your computer.

Where Is My Downloaded eBook?

If you've downloaded your book but can't find it, don't panic.

On most computers, the file will normally be in your Downloads folder and may be in a sub-folder, sometimes named after the computer owner.

On smartphones and tablets, look in the device's Files, Downloads or file-management app.

The filename will normally end with: .epub

Once you've found the file, follow the instructions above for your particular device.
